METROPOL Group of companies purchased 75 % of shares of Serbian travel agency "Putnik"

Cyprian company Acciona Investments Limited, one of the companies within METROPOL Group, purchased in Belgrad stock exchange 75 % of shares of Serbian travel agency "Poutnik". 70 % of shares of the company were purchased from the state, 5 % - from private shareholders. The sum of the transaction was about 42 million euro. METROPOL Group signed on the dotted line to invest additionally in the company 20 million euro and also to pay off all the debts of "Putnik" (11 million euro).

"Poutnik" is one of the oldest travel companies in Serbia that was founded in 1923. The company owns a network of hotels on the territory of Serbia and a 30 hectares island of Sacred Mark in Montenegro. But this well known all over the world brand seriously lost its positions of the tourist market after the previous unsuccessful privatization of the company.
