M.V. Slipenchuk, President of the Varyag Cruiser Charity Fund for the Support of the Navy, spoke at the press conference in Vladivostok
On September 13th a press conference “Heritage and Creativity,
Dialogue of Generations. The Origins” was held in the building of
the Primorsky Territory Administration. This event was designed to
coincide with the International Film Festival of the Asian and
Pacific Region Pacific Meridians, to highlight the role of
charitable and social activities in the preservation of cultural
heritage, and to touch upon actual issues of modern creative art.
M.V. Slipenchuk, founder of several charity funds, President of the
Varyag Cruiser Charity Fund for the Support of the Navy, spoke to
the journalists.
Other speakers at the press conference were D.A. Tekiev –
Chairman of the Committee for Economic Policy and Property of the
Primorsky Territory and Vice Speaker of the Primorsky Territory
Administration, V.T. Slipenchuk – writer, member of the Writers’
Union of Russia, A.S. Doluda – Creative Director of the
International Film Festival of the Asian and Pacific Region Pacific
Meridians.
Participants in the press conference discussed the issues of
cultural heritage preservation in various spheres of humanitarian
activity, in particular, literature and cinema. Representatives of
the artistic community, public sector, and charity organizations
spoke about the role of non-governmental support of the cultural
heritage and shared their creative ideas and plans.
M.V. Slipenchuk, who arrived in Vladivostok on the invitation of
E.V. Moskalenko, Commander of the Guard Missile Cruiser Varyag, and
the Pacific Fleet headquarters, told journalists about the
educational and patriotic activities of his fund, of large-scale
projects implemented until now, and described certain aspects of
the “patron of the arts” culture among modern businessmen.
