METROPOL Group of Companies presented at BEF-2011 its investment projects in the tourism business in the Baikal region.
Today, on the 13th of September, the Baikal International
Economic Forum - 2011 in Irkutsk, has continued its work in the
round tables format. Nine thematic discussion platform were opened
at the forum. Within the framework of round table "Special economic
zone of tourism and recreational type: investment opportunities and
barriers", the director of the Directorate of international,
regional and public relation, B.D. Tsyrenov has presented his
speech.
He wished all settlements adjacent to tourism facilities of
METROPOL Group of Companies, to become prosperous, and develop
actively. He also proposed to create an association of tour
operators of Baikal. "Nowadays, Baikal attracts many tourists,
especially from Asian countries - said B.D. Tsyrenov. METROPOL
Group of Companies seeks to understand what future foreign tourists
expect from a vacation on Lake Baikal. We believe that exactly
differential approach would help in the successful development of
tourism at Lake Baikal: we need to prepare a specific product for
tourists from different countries. We are already working in this
direction, for example, with the Japan, and we are ready to expand
areas of work. In general, BEF is an excellent site for finding
partners. We recently bought a new tourist facilities on Lake
Baikal - boarding houses and cruise ship. We already found partners
at BEF who have expressed a desire to help us develop these
facilities. Also, a number of residents of "Baikal Harbor" made
proposals to invest in the development of the airport, "Baikal",
belonging to METROPOL Group of Companies - we are ready for
mutually beneficial cooperation, and will consider specific
proposals", - said B.D. Tsyrenov.
At the end of the round table the first deputy mayor of Irkutsk
region, Vladimir Pashkov awarded METROPOL Group of Companies, the
partner of the business program BEF 2011, with memorial sign of the
Organizing Committee of Forum "for contributions to the development
of Russia's economic strategy in the Baikal region and the Far
East".
