METROPOL Group and MBC Corporation delegation headed by M. V. Slipenchuk visited the Kholodninskoye deposit

On August 5, 2009, METROPOL Group and MBC Corporation delegation headed by M. V. Slipenchuk visited the Kholodninskoye deposit, which is located in the Northern Baikal region of Buryatia.  Taking part in the trip were: IFC METROPOL Deputy Director M. Yu. Borozin, MBC (East Siberian Metals) Corporation Deputy Director General B. D. Tsyrenov, and others.
During their trip, the delegates inspected the deposit and the future mining enterprise’s grounds, and met the Kholodninskoye Mining and Processing Plant’s (GOK) technical personnel.
The trip’s participants also met with members of the Geography Faculty of Moscow State University’s environmental expedition, which is currently working at the Kholodninskoye deposit and taking part in the “Mir” on Baikal scientific expedition”.  The manned submersibles Mir intend to conduct a series of submersions and study the environmental state of the northern section of Lake Baikal.
