Deputy General Director of IFC METROPOL Yu.P. Sapunov greeted the Great Patriotic War veterans in Ardatov (Republic of Mordovia)

On May 9, 2011, Deputy General Director of IFC METROPOL, Vice President of the VARYAG CRUISER Charity Fund, Major General of the Federal Security Agency Yu.P. Sapunov took part in the celebration of the 66th anniversary of the Great Victory in Ardatov (Republic of Mordovia). Yu.P. Sapunov is a native and honorary citizen of Ardatov. “It was a great pleasure for me to visit my home town again,” said Major General Yu.P. Sapunov after the ceremonial events. “And it’s a double pleasure that I have an opportunity to greet the veterans of my native town personally on the Victory Day. They fought for our Homeland and were ready to give their lives to win the victory over fascism. All honour to the fighting winners and our deep respect to the war workers!»
After the festive meeting held on the main square of the town, Yu.P. Sapunov presented the Great Patriotic War veterans with memorable gifts: clock radios, personal congratulatory addresses and new issues of the MetroFan Magazine (a corporate publication of METROPOL Group – the founder of the VARYAG CRUISER Charity Fund).
