MBC Corporation Director General O. Mikhaylenko held a working meeting with President of Republic of Buryatia V. Nagovitsyn

On July 21 MBC Corporation Director General and Transbaikalia Development Corporation Director General O. Mikhaylenko had a working meeting with President and Government Chairman of Republic of Buryatia V. Nagovitsyn. They discussed a wide range of issues related to the development of Buryatia through projects of MBC Corporation and Transbaikalia Development Corporation and measures to foster cooperation between the companies and the government of Buryatia in line with the Agreement on the creation of conditions for state-private partnership for the implementation of investment projects of social and economic development in Republic of Buryatia, which was signed by the parties on July 4, 2008.
During the meeting V. Nagovitsyn and O. Mikhailenko discussed ways to streamline the management of the Complex Transbaikalia Development project and the progress in the formation of the Coordinating Council of the Transbaikalia Development Corporation. The decision to set up the council was made during a working trip of the presidential envoy to the Siberian federal district A. Kvashnin to Buryatia on July 3-4, 2008. Mikhailenko said the “Coordinating Council is called to become a constructive working mechanism in supporting the application to the Russian Investment Fund and in settling issues among project participants. Besides leaders of involved regional governments and participating companies, the Coordinating Council of the Complex TransBaikalia Development is expected to involve representatives of federal ministries and expert organizations.”
The meeting also discussed the development of the Ozerny and Yermakovsky deposits and designed further joint steps to promote the project of Kholodnin field development.
