IFC METROPOL has acted as a financial consultant in placing the OJSC Gazprom bonds at the Japanese Stock Market

OJSC Gazprom has successfully placed a debut issue of Eurobonds at the Japanese Market, nominated in Yens. The underwriters of the placement were the Nikko Citigroup and the Bank Mizuho International, co-underwriter was the Bank Societe Generale, and the Financial Consultant was IFC Metropol.
The placement of two tranches (the first in the amount of 20 billions of Yens with a 3 year circulation, the second one - in the amount of 30 billions of Yens and a 5 year circulation) took place on October 31, 2007. The issue was structurized and intended to attract a wide range of investors to the market of Japan.
The said placement was presented to the potential investors in the course of a 3 day road-show in Japan. A number of business meetings were conducted, and a seminar was held, which promoted to substantial growth of interest to the emitter.
By the opinion of the experts successful placement and great demand on the bonds are stipulated by the high reputation and good credit history of Gazprom.
