Delegation of METROPOL Group of Companies takes part in the VII Baikal Economic Forum.

The VII Baikal Economic Forum opened at Irkutsk. This year it was attended by delegates from 28 countries, representatives of 15 regions of Russia. The main theme of this Forum, as emphasized by the Vice Chairman of the Federation Council of Russian Federation Aleksander Torshin, is a "public policy of development in the Baikal region and the Far East and the prospects of integration and cooperation with countries in the Asia-Pacific region". According to him, it is on the development of these macro-regions that further development of the Asia-Pacific region will largely depend.
The delegation of METROPOL Group of Companies was headed at the Forum by Director General of the MBC Corporation Ilya Okhtyrskiy who took part in the plenary session. As part of the exhibition BEF-2011 the booths of METROPOL Group of Companies were deployed, dedicated to the activities of the MBC Corporation, Foundation for assistance on preservation of Lake Baikal, as well as multifunctional tourist complex "Baikal Harbour", which METROPOL Group of Companies creates at Lake Baikal in the «Baikal harbor» Special Economic Zone of tourism and vacation type.
Tomorrow, September 13, 2011, BEF-2011 will continue its work: the discussions in the format of "round tables" are scheduled.
