Baikal Airport Admits Ulan-Ude-Beijing First Regular International Flight
On 16 June 2012, the Baikal Airport (Ulan-Ude, Buryatia)
admitted the first regular international Ulan-Ude - Beijing
flight.
Ulan-Ude-Beijing flights will be offered twice a week by S7
Airlines on Boeing 737-800 planes with economy and business class
seats.
The S7 521 Ulan-Ude-Beijing flight takes off at 11.45 p.m. on
Mondays and Saturdays and arrives at 01.30 a.m. The return flight
S7 522 leaves Beijing on Tuesdays and Sundays at 02.20 a.m. and
arrives in Ulan-Ude at 06.20 a.m.
“We expect the first tourists from Beijing in August of this year.
I hope this flight will become very popular by next year”, said
Alexander Lentsov, Director of the Baikal Airport.
The Baikal Airport also offers international flights to Turkey,
Mongolia, Vietnam and Thailand.
