METROPOL group of companies participates in 7th Mining industry forum of MINEX
The forum was held in Moscow on October 4-6, 2011. Eurasian
Business council with M.Slipenchik as the chairman of the board
traditionally acts as a strategic partner of MINEX forums in
EurAsEC countries.

as well as S.Garichev, deputy general director and director for
strategic corporate development of the MBC Corporation participated
in the forum,
This year the MINEX forum was aimed at comprehensive deliberations
of positive tendencies in the development of the Russian mining
industry and new business opportunities that emerge in the area of
exploration, extraction and processing of solid minerals. It is no
coincidence that the main topic of the forum was worded: “Russia –
on the threshold of new discoveries.
The forum brought together more than 100 speakers and 500
participants from Russia, Western Europe, Asia and North America
representing leading mining, consulting and investment companies,
as well as development companies and suppliers of mining equipment.
Among the partners of the forum one can name IMC Montan, KPMG, PWH,
Polus-Zoloto CJSC, KINROSS, Petropavlovsk and other companies and
entities. This year a special guest of the forum was Larry King,
who now is an adviser with Silver Bear Resources company and sits
on advisory council of Forbes and Manhattan Group
S.Garichev, deputy general director and director for strategic
corporate development of the MBC Corporation participated in
plenary session entitled “Russian regions – investment
opportunities and development of their mineral and raw materials
exploration”. In his report S.Garichev spoke about a complex
project launched by the Corporation to develop zinc, lead, gold,
silver and beryllium deposits of Ozyornoye, Ermakovskoye and
Nazarovskoye in the Republic of Buryatia. He also elaborated on a
project to build an integrated mining and metallurgy complex, power
generating facilities and roads.
The Group includes six battery plants and business units developing and introducing new technologies, and distributing products.
