The Head of METROPOL Group Mikhail Slipenchuk became a member of the European Business Congress (EBC) Presiding Committee
On 2th of June, 2011 the Head of METROPOL Group Mikhail
Slipenchuk was elected member of the Presiding Committee of the
European Business Congress (EBC). The voting took place at the 14th
EBC Annual General Meeting held in Prague, Czech Republic, on June
2-3, 2011.
The forum summed up the results of EBC’s work in 2010, adopted a
number of important decisions and elected the Vice-President and
the Presiding Committee. It is worth mentioning that for the first
time in the Congress’ history it’s membership grew up to 46 people
(last year the organization’s upper body numbered 36 people). All
members of the Presiding Committee are CEO of
member-companies. “Quantitative and qualitative strengthening of
the Presiding Committee by new members, including those from
Russia, greatly enhances the influence of EDC in the world, -
commented on the event Nadezhda Donyi, the General Secretary of the
European Business Congress.
Background information:
The EBC European Business Congress is an International
non-governmental non-profitable organization (NGNPO). Founded in
December 1997 in Bonn, Germany. The President of the EBC is Dr.
Alexey Miller, Gazprom, Russia. As of May 2011 the EBC numbered 125
members from 23 OSCE states, including such major corporations and
banks like Gazprom, ExxonMobil, Daimler Chrysler, Siemens, Shell,
ConocoPhillips, Total, Deutsche Bank, Dresdner Bank, Alcatel,
Wintershall, E.ON Ruhrgas, GDF Suez.
The EBC Secretariat is located in Berlin.
The Group includes six battery plants and business units developing and introducing new technologies, and distributing products.
