A BAKHTIN VS GASCA fight is to be held on 18 September on the
boxing ring of Moscow Martial Arts Center at Varshavka SKY on
Varshavskoye Shosse with the support of METROPOL Group of
Companies.
Russia’s Alexander Bakhtin is ready to assert his title of the
best boxer in his weight class. In his last important fight, he
defeated former World Champion Nehomar Cermeño. This time, he will
fight for the IBO World Champion Title.
It was planned earlier that the fight between Alexander Bakhtin
and Roli Gasca, a rising boxing star from the Philippines, will be
held on 7 September in Buryatia’s capital city Ulan Ude, where
Bakhtin achieved his first success under the guidance of Honored
Coach Valery Namkhoyev. However, it turned out impossible to hold
the sports event of that class due to technical problems with
broadcasting the fight to the Philippines. That was the deciding
reason for moving the show to Moscow. Roli Gasca’s fans and
compatriots will now be able to enjoy a live broadcast of one of
the most prominent title fights on the central TV channel in the
Philippines. In Russia, the fight for the IBO World Champion Title
in featherweight class will be broadcast live by RUSSIA-2 channel.
Besides, professional boxing fans in over 20 countries all over the
world will also be able to watch the show.
“I have been preparing for this fight for a long time, and now I
am more than ever confident in my abilities”, said Alexander
Bakhtin. “Roli Gasca is a strong opponent, but I am still not going
to give the victory to anyone, so I believe I’ll be able to please
all my supporters with the IBO World Champion’s Belt.”
The 23 year old Philippine boxer Roli Gasca has 21 professional
ring fights, with 19 wins (5 knockouts) and 2 defeats. The 30 year
old Aleksandr Bakhtin has no defeats and has won all of his 29
professional fights (11 of them by knockout). Gasca is training in
the same gym with his famous compatriot Manny Pacquiao during the
latter’s home pre-fight training sessions. Bakhtin has been trained
for the IBO Title fight by his famous coach Alexander Zimin. The
fight is promoted by Vladimir Khryunov.
