MBC Corporation participates in CHINA MINING Congress & Expo 2011

The MBC Corporation was represented by Head of the Lead-Zinc Project Alexander Perfiliev and Chief Engineer of the Corporation Dmitry Novikov. Speaking at the Mining Commodity Forum – Base Metals, Alexander Perfiliev presented a report on “Integrated Development of Major Zinc, Lead, Gold, Silver, Beryllium, Iron and Coal Deposits in East Siberia. Construction of a Mining and Processing Plant, Power Facilities and Transportation Routes Focused on Exports to China in Cooperation with Major Chinese Corporations”.
According to Alexander Perfiliev, participation in the congress and expo was productive: “We feel that this year’s event was much larger than in 2010. Unlike European mining companies, China is more confident about its short-term mining industry development prospects. In the course of the forum we have met and negotiated with new potential suppliers of equipment and services for construction of our facilities”.

The event was held in Tianjin from 6 November to 8 November and featured a conference on investment policies in the mining industry and an exhibition of technical innovations and equipment. The agenda also included consideration of issues of environmental protection, work safety and introduction of energy-saving technologies. This exhibition held with the official support of the Ministry of Natural Resources of China is a major event for Asia’s mining industry. Over 4,500 delegates from 57 countries and regions have participated in the exhibition annually since 1999.
