Tom Adshead appointed Head of Research

Tom Adshead will enhance cooperation between analysts and institutional investors, develop new research products and strengthen the department’s position among current and potential clients.

Tom was born on July 18, 1965. He holds the Bachelor degree from Cambridge University (1987), the French language diploma from Sorbonne (1984), the diploma from Glasgow University (1988), and the post-graduate certificate from City University (1992).

Prior to the appointment he headed the Investor Relations Department in Golden Telecom. He began his career as an associate analyst in University of Oxford in 1988. Then he joined the EBRD project aimed to analyze the progress of economic reforms in Russia in 1991-1994. In 1994-1997 he was a telecommunications analyst in Credit Suisse First Boston.

In 1997 Tom was appointed Head of Research at the United Financial Group. From 1999 through 2002 he was a senior analyst with Troika Dialog. From 1994 Tom ranked among the leading analysts in the Russian securities market in such internationally recognized ratings as Institutional Investor and Extel.
