Kyokushinkan Karate-do’s Cup of Nations held in Podolsk through the assistance of IFC METROPOL and the Foundation for Marshal Arts Promotion
The Open International Kyokushinkan Karate-do
Tournament, “Cup of Nations,” was held on December 17-19 in
Podolsk, Moscow Region. The tournament was organized by the Russian
Kyokushinkan Karate-do Federation and supported by the Foundation
for Marshal Arts Promotion and IFC METROPOL.
The tournament was attended by leading athletes
from 12 countries. Prior, teams from Russia, Japan and the Republic
of South Africa were named among the leaders. Three major weight
categories were represented at the competition. The Russian team
won the first prizes.
The Cup of Nations was held prior to the World
Kyokushinkan Karate-do Championship which is scheduled to be held
in Moscow in September 2005.
