Visitors given a tour of Baikal Harbor special tourism-and-recreation economic zone in village of Turka, Republic of Buryatia

As part of the international conference on Priorities of the Baikal Region in Russia’s Asia Policy, visitors were given a tour on July 7 of the Baikal Harbor special tourism-and-recreation economic zone in the village of Turka. One of the residents of the zone is Putnik Siberia LLC,  a member of METROPOL Group.

During the event, a round table discussion of current issues related to construction of and capital-raising for the project was held on board the special-purpose ship Metropolia.

The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Buryatia, Head of METROPOL Group Mikhail Slipenchuk, representatives of Zapsibgazprom OJSC, representatives of the Siberian Federal District government, special economic zones (RusSEZ), the Siberian and Far Eastern branches of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), leaders of business and celebrities, as well as journalists from the largest and the most influential English, French, Chinese and Japanese media.
