Corporation "MBC",  Kazakhstan State Corporation "Kazatomprom" and the Russian company "Neftehimmash", that owns Zabaikalskiy Mining Complex, signed an agreement on joint production of beryllium metal-based assets in Russia and Kazakhstan.

Ore extraction will be carried out on Ermakovsky deposit in Buryatia, licensed to MBC. Then the ore will be processed into concentrate on the Zabaikalskiy Mining Complex,

Then concentrate tolling will be delivered to UMP in Kazakhstan, part of "Kazatomprom", for the production of beryllium metal.

"The agreement is under negotiation, but MBC plans to start mining ore at Ermakovskiy Field in the near future. All that will be produced at Ermakovsky deposit, we will send to Zabaikalskiy Mining Complex. Planned volume is 50 tons of ore per year, "- said General Director of MBC Ilia Okhtyrskiy.
