IFC METROPOL became one of the top three among Russian investment companies in terms of the volume of assets

The national rating agency (NRA) published rankings of Russian investment companies following the results of activity in the second quarter of 2007.
According to estimation of NRA, IFC METROPOL took the 3rd place in terms of the volume of assets. Among the top three of the best companies in terms of this indicator there are also IC "Region" and “Troika Dialogue”. Total assets of three leaders are amounted to 25 % of the total amount of assets in the sector and by consideration of total assets of 10 largest companies this indicator increases to 51,5 %. Thus, the share of the largest companies in the total amount of assets has not practically changed despite continuously increasing competition.
Summing up the results of the second quarter of 2007, experts NRA also specify that the situation in the market has somewhat stabilized, Russian investment companies have quite successfully passed through the crisis of American mortgage notes and liquidity crisis which followed after that. Players proved their resistance to stress which was favorably reflected in the Russian financial market.
