The heads of the MBC Corporation and the Russian-Turkmen Business Council took part in a meeting headed by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Russian Federation, V. A. Zubkov

The first vice-premier of Russian Government - the Co-chairman of the intergovernmental Russian-Turkmen commission on economic cooperation V.A. Zubkov hold meeting concerning strengthening and the further development of economic cooperation with Turkmenistan.

The meeting was attended by I. I. Gorelovsky, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and Cochairman of the Russian-Turkmen Business Council (RTBC); V. L. Potapov, Assistant to the Chief of Staff of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation and RTBC Supervisory Board Chairman; I. A. Okhtyrsky, MBC Corporation Director General and RTBC Board Chairman; S. N. Garichev, MBC Corporation Deputy Director General and RTBC Executive Director; and others.

I. I. Gorelovsky and I. A. Okhtyrsky presented reports on the current state and prospects of Russian-Turkmen business cooperation. During his own performance I.A. Okhtyrsky summed up work RTBC for 2008 and stated also plans for the nearest period.

Work of Russian-Turkmen Business Council was highly appreciated, in particular, was noticed that RTBC was one of the most active among 46 Business Councils operating under the aegis of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.

Summing up this meeting, V.A.Zubkov has made the offer to prepare the expanded session of Business Council with Turkmen party participation concerning preparation for forthcoming visit of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhammedova to Moscow, planned for the third decade of March, 2009.
