Mikhail Slipenchuk participated in signing the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Eurasian Business Council and the Customs Union Commission

The Memorandum of Cooperation between the Eurasian Business Council, represented by Chairman of the Coordination Council of the Eurasian Business Council O.N. Soskovets, Chairman of the board of the Eurasian Business Council M.V. Slipenchuk, and the Customs Union Commission, represented by executive secretary of the Customs Union Commission S.Y. Glaziev, was signed in Moscow on December, 9, 2009. General Secretary of the EurAsEC T.A. Mansurov also took part in the event.

Within the framework of the Intergovernmental Eurasian Business Council EurAsEC, that was held on November, 27, in Minsk, presidents of Russia, Belorussia and Kazakhstan made a significant decision to establish a Customs Union on January, 1, 2010 and to implement the common customs tariffs. These decisions are very important for the development of the united economic area.
The Customs Union Commission, the consistent ongoing regulating authority of the Customs Union of Belorussia, Kazakhstan and Russian Federation, is in charge of the common customs tariff and non-tariff regulation and in the Customs Union.
The signing of the Memorandum between the Secretariat of the Customs Union Commission and the Eurasian Business Council is focused on the effective collaboration within the attraction of business and expert communities to discus the Customs Code, tariffs and other common regulation measures concerning trading between countries of the Customs Union and other countries.

M.V. Slipenchuk presented the flag of the Eurasian Economic Community, which was on board of the deep-diving submersible “Mirs” during the dive to the bottom of the lake Baikal within the framework of the “Mirs” on Baikal” expedition on September 2009, to T.A. Mansurov and O.N. Soskovets.
